Background: Isolated ileo-cecal region (ICR) ulcers may represent underlying Crohn's disease (CD), intestinal tuberculosis (ITB), bacterial infections (including typhoid), amoebiasis, eosinophilic enteritis, drug-induced sequelae, or neoplasm. Overlapping morphological and microscopic characteristics of many of these diseases make it challenging to unequivocally confirm a diagnosis.
Aims: The aim of the study was to investigate the etiology and clinical outcomes of isolated ileo-cecal ulcers discovered during an ileocolonoscopy in patients with gastrointestinal symptoms.

Abdominal actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative infection caused by Actinomyces species. The ileo-cecal region is most commonly affected, while the left side of the colon is more rarely involved. The infection has a tendency to infiltrate adjacent tissues and is, therefore, rarely confined to a single organ.

Background: Ileocecal thickening (ICT) on imaging could result from diverse etiologies but may also be clinically insignificant.
Aim: Evaluation of role of combined 2-deoxy-2-fluorine-18-fluoro-D-glucose(F-FDG)-positron emission tomography and computed tomographic enterography (PET-CTE) for determination of clinical significance of suspected ICT.
Methods: This prospective study enrolled consecutive patients with suspected ICT on ultrasound.

Aim: To investigated clinical, endoscopic and histopathological parameters of the patients presenting with ileocecal ulcers on colonoscopy.
Methods: Consecutive symptomatic patients undergoing colonoscopy, and diagnosed to have ulcerations in the ileocecal (I/C) region, were enrolled. Biopsy was obtained and their clinical presentation and outcome were recorded.

Introduction: The technique of ileo-right colic intussuscepted anastomosis creating a neo-ileo-colic valve, was first described by Ribault in 1989 and has been shown to be of value in patients with typhoid ileal perforation as well as in other non-cancerous lesions of the terminal ileum. This technique is simple and rapid, and avoids ileostomy and/or ileo-cecal resection. The goal of this case-series was to describe the technique of ileo-right colic intussuscepted anastomosis as an alternative to ileostomy.
