BE-43547A exerts hypoxia-selective inhibition on human pancreatic cancer cells through targeting eEF1A1 and disrupting its association with FoxO1.

Hypoxia is a key feature of the tumor microenvironment that leads to the failure of many chemotherapies and induces more aggressive and resistant cancer phenotypes. Up to date, there are very few compounds and treatments that can target hypoxia. BE-43547A from Streptomyces sp.

The ribotoxic stress response is a pathway that gets activated when ribosomes get impaired, leading to disruptions in protein synthesis, increased inflammatory signaling, and cell death if left unresolved. Taraxacum can induce apoptosis-associated ribosomal RNA (rRNA) cleavage, however, the exact working mechanism of Taraxacum-induced rRNA cleavage remains unclear. In this study, we used the RNA integrity (RIN) value and 28S/18S ratio to confirm the integrity of experiments.

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Seongnam, Republic of Korea; Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Seoul National University College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Objectives: To determine the difference of body composition change measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) between singleton and twin pregnancy.

Study Design: A prospective study was performed in pregnant women admitted to maternal-fetal intensive care unit in Seoul National University Bundang Hospital from June to August 2023. Twenty one patients were enrolled (9 singleton and 12 twin pregnancies) and underwent BIA at the admission.

A generalizable normative deep autoencoder for brain morphological anomaly detection: application to the multi-site StratiBip dataset on bipolar disorder in an external validation framework.

The heterogeneity of psychiatric disorders makes researching disorder-specific neurobiological markers an ill-posed problem. Here, we face the need for disease stratification models by presenting a generalizable multivariate normative modelling framework for characterizing brain morphology, applied to bipolar disorder (BD). We used deep autoencoders in an anomaly detection framework, combined for the first time with a confounder removal step that integrates training and external validation.

Unlabelled: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a rising global health problem. The antidiabetic canagliflozin (CANA) has been proposed to ameliorate the metabolic abnormalities in NAFLD.

Aim: This study aimed to explore the possible anti-NAFLD effects of CANA in rats and HepG2 cells, focusing on AMPK/SIRT1-mediated lipophagy.
