Objective: The aim: To determine of the factors influencing the formation of "kissing" duodenal bulb ulcer in patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The data of a comprehensive examination of 34 patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis were analyzed, in which the examination revealed "kissing" ulcers of the duodenal bulb (primary group), and 37 patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis, in which single ulcers were detected in the bulb (control group). Comprehensive examination included: step-by-step intragastric pH-metry, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, helicobacter infection test (НР) (helicobacter urease test and microscopic examination of stained smears), histological investigations of the gastric stump mucous, material for which was taken during endoscopy from 4 topographical zones: from the middle third of the gastric antrum and body of stomach on the big and small curvature.

Objective: The aim: To determine the effect of prolonged use of H2-histamine receptor blockers on the degree of contamination of the gastric mucosa with HP infection in patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: 28 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (the main group), who regularly took H2-histamine receptor blockers for 2 to 7 years, and 30 patients (control group), who never used them were comprehensively examined.

Introduction: Preliminary assessment of gastric secretion in the treatment of organic and functional dyspepsia may offer advantages over the empirical administration of proton pump inhibitors suggested by most clinical guidelines.

Aim: To develop a simplified pH-metric test with standardised meal, and on its basis to perform an assessment of the functional state of gastric secretion in the most common dyspepsias.

Material And Methods: Serum pepsinogen 1 and 2 were used for reference.

Introduction: Gastroesophageal reflux is a major problem after sleeve gastrectomy. There is still insufficient understanding of how it occurs and whether it is due to the sphincter length, relaxation, or pressure differences.

Aim: This study evaluates the effect on the lower esophageal sphincter of the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) technique applied in surgery in cases of morbid obesity using ambulatory 24-h pH monitoring (APM) and esophageal manometry (EM).
