Introduction: Soft tissue lesions encompass a diverse category of diseases from benign to malignant, and their morphology might overlap; therefore, accurate categorization is needed to approach the reporting of soft tissue cytology. The cytology of these lesions is helpful in detecting the features of malignancy, which helps in guiding further management. In this study, we applied the proposed IAC-IARC-WHO cytopathology system to assess the risk of malignancy (ROM) and diagnostic accuracy (DA) for the determination of its clinical and diagnostic utility.

The immune system provides defense against foreign agents that are considered harmful for the organism. Inorganic nanomaterials can be recognized by the immune system as antigens, inducing an immune reaction dependent on the patient's immunological anamnesis and from several factors including size, shape, and the chemical nature of the nanoparticles. Furthermore, nanomaterials-driven immunomodulation might be exploited for therapeutic purposes, opening new horizons in oncology and beyond.

MXenes, a novel class of two-dimensional materials, have recently emerged as promising candidates for biomedical applications due to their specific structural features and exceptional physicochemical and biological properties. These materials, characterized by unique structural features and superior conductivity, have applications in tissue engineering, cancer detection and therapy, sensing, imaging, drug delivery, wound treatment, antimicrobial therapy, and medical implantation. Additionally, MXene-based composites, incorporating polymers, metals, carbon nanomaterials, and metal oxides, offer enhanced electroactive and mechanical properties, making them highly suitable for engineering electroactive organs such as the heart, skeletal muscle, and nerves.

It typically presents as a pruritic, erythematous rash, mainly affecting the trunk and neck, and often features hyperpigmented macules and plaques. The onset of PP has been associated with various factors, including fasting, dieting, and certain metabolic disorders.
