Purpose: Although fluoride is known to be effective and safe, an increasing number of parents refuse to allow fluoride applications for their children. This study aimed to compare the parents who accepted and rejected fluoride application for their children in terms of their attitudes toward fluoride and vaccinations, sociodemographic characteristics, and source of knowledge.
Materials And Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a previously validated questionnaire was administered to 85 parents who did not consent to have topical fluoride applied to their children's teeth (AF group) and the 143 parents who consented to have it applied (F group) in a pediatric dentistry clinic.
Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes, surgical workflow, and patient satisfaction following small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) performed with the VisuMax 800 in one eye and the VisuMax 500 in the contralateral eye (both Carl Zeiss Meditec).
Methods: This was a prospective, single-site clinical study of patients undergoing SMILE for myopia and myopic astigmatism between February 2022 and August 2023. Each patient underwent bilateral treatment using the VisuMax 800 (VM800 group) in one eye and the VisuMax 500 (VM500 group) in the contralateral eye.

Socio-dynamic situations require a balance between response execution and action inhibition. Nonadaptive imbalance between response inhibition and execution exists in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological disorders. To investigate the underlying neural mechanisms of cognitive control and the related deficits, comparative studies in human and nonhuman primates are crucial.

Background: Preliminary studies on epidural motor cortex stimulation (eMCS) for the treatment of drug-resistant neuropathic pain have supported the extension to novel stimulation waveforms, in particular burstDR. However, only a low level of evidence is available. The aim of this retrospective observational study was to compare the analgesic efficacy of burstDR versus tonic eMCS.

A series of chiral hybrid diphosphorus ligands incorporating a conformationally flexible tropos diphenylmethane-based phosphoramidite unit have been developed and evaluated in the Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of 2-(1-arylvinyl)anilides and α-enamides, leading to up to >99% yield and 99% enantiomeric excess. Preliminary results from comparative studies showcased the extraordinary catalytic performance of these chiral tropos phosphine-phosphoramidite ligands, with a competency essentially superior to those of well-established ligands with a regular rigid backbone.
