Background: Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is characterized by transient left ventricular dysfunction, often triggered by emotional or physical stress. It usually presents with clinical features similar to acute coronary syndrome, making its occurrence following elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) challenging to diagnose and treat.
Case Summary: A 67-year-old man with ischaemic heart disease and recurrent angina underwent elective PCI of the right coronary artery.

Dynamic hydrogels have attracted considerable attention in the application of flexible electronics, as they possess injectable and self-healing abilities. However, it is still a challenge to combine high conductivity and antibacterial properties into dynamic hydrogels. In this work, we fabricated a type of dynamic hydrogel based on acylhydrazone bonds between thermo-responsive copolymer and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) functionalized with hydrazide groups.

Background: Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is characterized by intense central inflammation, leading to substantial post-hemorrhagic complications such as vasospasm and delayed cerebral ischemia. Given the anti-inflammatory effect of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) and its ability to promote brain plasticity, taVNS has emerged as a promising therapeutic option for SAH patients. However, the effects of taVNS on cardiovascular dynamics in critically ill patients, like those with SAH, have not yet been investigated.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals contain complex and diverse features, serving as a crucial basis for arrhythmia diagnosis. The subtle differences in characteristics among various types of arrhythmias, coupled with class imbalance issues in datasets, often hinder existing models from effectively capturing key information within these complex signals, leading to a bias towards normal classes. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a method for arrhythmia classification based on a multi-branch, multi-head attention temporal convolutional network (MB-MHA-TCN).

Heart rate variability (HRV) is a key indicator of cardiac autonomic function, making reliable assessment crucial. To examine the test-retest stability of resting HRV in healthy individuals, fifty participants attended two lab sessions within a week, at the same time of day. After a 5-minute acclimatization period, electrocardiogram and respiration were recorded at rest.
