Background/objectives: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is characterized by therapeutic failure and long-term risk for disease relapses. As several therapeutic targets participate in networks, they can rewire to eventually evade single-target drugs. Hence, multi-targeting approaches are considered on the expectation that interference with many different components could synergistically hinder activation of alternative pathways and demolish the network one-off, leading to complete disease remission.

This study aimed to determine the onset and duration of action of 3 commercially available topical anesthetic solutions in Brazil, using the Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer (Luneau, Paris, France) and to quantitatively assess patient-reported discomfort during application. A prospective, randomized, masked, and double-blind study was conducted, involving 40 eyes from 21 patients. Patients were administered each one of the topical anesthetics weekly, and corneal sensitivity was measured using the Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer's corneal touch threshold (CTT).

Background: Pain is characterized as a major symptom induced by tissue damage occurring from surgical procedures, whose potency is being experienced subjectively, while current pain relief strategies are not always efficient in providing individualized treatment. 3D printed implantable devices hold the potential to offer a precise and customized medicinal approach, targeting both tissue engineering and drug delivery.
Research Design And Methods: Polycaprolactone (PCL) and PCL - chitosan (CS) composite scaffolds loaded with procaine (PRC) were fabricated by bioprinting.

Objective: Spinal anesthesia with local anesthetics is a viable alternative to general anesthesia in orthopedic surgery, and it is currently considered the standard of care for knee arthroscopy. The use of chloroprocaine may offer several potential advantages over other local anesthetics, including, above all, its rapid onset and short duration of action. The aim of the present retrospective study is to evaluate the post-surgical outcomes of patients who underwent knee arthroscopy using spinal anesthesia with chloroprocaine in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
