This study reports the automated radiosynthesis and evaluation of [F]FPMBBG, a radiopharmaceutical designed to target the norepinephrine transporter (NET). A newly developed fully protected benzylguanidine precursor, which prevents interference from non-protected benzylguanidine part during the nucleophilic process, has enabled a one-pot two-step fully automated cassette-based synthesis of [F]FPMBBG. This advancement enhances the feasibility of the synthesis, ensures reproducibility, and allows for the production of substantial quantities of the radiotracer, paving the way for future clinical applications.

Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a major global public health concern with limited treatment options. While preclinical studies have suggested the potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to repair and protect injured kidneys in AKI, clinical trials using transarterial MSCs transplantation have yielded disappointing results. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility and safety of minimally invasive renal subcapsular transplantation of MSCs for treating AKI in a minipig model, ultimately aiming to facilitate the clinical translation of this approach.

Maternal nutrition is one of the main factors regulating the growth and immunity of piglets. This study aimed to investigate the effects of maternal or maternal-offspring supplementation of antibiotics, probiotics, and synbiotics on the immunity of offspring (21, 65, and 125 day-old) in Bama mini-pigs. The results showed that adding antibiotics to maternal diets increased the plasma IFN-γ level of offspring piglets at 21 day-old.

Background: The combination of antiplatelet and antithrombotic drugs increases the risk of bleeding in patients with atrial fibrillation after coronary drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation. However, the appropriateness of direct-acting oral anticoagulant (DOAC) monotherapy at the time of stent implantation remains uncertain. The objective of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of DOAC monotherapy, specifically using factor Xa inhibitors such as edoxaban, in a low-density lipoprotein receptor knockout (LDL-R) miniature pig model of human-like unstable coronary plaques compared to conventional dual-antiplatelet therapy (DAPT).
