Transrectal shear wave elastography (T-SWE) can be used non-invasively to diagnose prostate cancer (PCa) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The prostate tissue can be viewed as an ellipsoidal sphere with viscoelastic characterization. Linear elastic model has been used to characterize soft tissues, and the simplification of partial characterization provides incomplete information.

Wild tomato species exhibit natural insect resistance, yet the specific secondary metabolites and underlying mechanisms governing the resistance remain unclear. Moreover, defense expression dynamically adapts to insect herbivory, causing significant metabolic changes and species-specific secondary metabolite accumulation. The present study aims to identify the resistance-related metabolites in wild tomato accessions that influence the defense mechanism against whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Asia II 7) and leafminer (Phthorimaea absoluta).

Accurate quantification in emission tomography is essential for internal radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry. Mean activity concentration measurements in objects with diameters less than 10 times the full width at half maximum of the imaging system's spatial resolution are significantly affected (>10%) by the partial-volume effect. This study develops a framework for PET and SPECT spatial resolution characterization and proposes 2 MIRD recovery coefficient models-a geometric mean approximation (RECOVER-GM) and an empirical model (RECOVER-EM)-that provide shape-specific partial-volume correction (PVC).

Magneto-ionics, which refers to the modification of the magnetic properties of materials through electric-field-induced ion migration, is emerging as one of the most promising methods to develop nonvolatile energy-efficient memory and spintronic and magnetoelectric devices. Herein, the controlled generation of ferromagnetism from paramagnetic Co-Ni oxide patterned microdisks (prepared upon thermal oxidation of metallic microdisks with dissimilar Co-Ni ratios, i.e.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by a cholinergic deficit, prompting conventional therapies to elevate acetylcholine levels as a compensatory measure. Two main strategies involve the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and/or the stimulation of acetylcholine receptors (AChR). Caffeine (CFF), known as a partial agonist of nAChR and an AChE inhibitor, acts as a cholinergic enhancer.
