Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with etiologies related to genetics, immunity, and the environment. It is characterized by excessive proliferation of keratinocytes and infiltration of inflammatory immune cells. Glycosylation is a post-translational modification of proteins that plays important roles in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and immune cell activation.

Introduction: Persistent elevation of biomarkers associated with endothelial dysfunction in convalescent COVID-19 patients has been linked to an increased risk of long-term cardiovascular complications, including long COVID syndrome. Sulodexide, known for its vascular endothelial affinity, has demonstrated pleiotropic protective properties. This study aims to evaluate the impact of sulodexide on serum levels of endothelial dysfunction biomarkers in patients during the convalescent phase of COVID-19.

Background: Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is widely recognized for its powerful antioxidant properties, sparking considerable interest in its application within skincare treatments. However, its inherently poor water solubility has posed a major challenge in formulating effective skincare products.
Methods: This research aimed to develop and evaluate a water-soluble CoQ10 serum by forming a complex with hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin (HPβCD).

Amyloid diseases feature pathologic deposition of normally soluble proteins and peptides as insoluble fibrils in vital organs. Amyloid fibrils co-deposit with various nonfibrillar components including heparan sulfate (HS), a glycosaminoglycan that promotes amyloid formation in vitro for many unrelated proteins. HS-amyloid interactions have been proposed as a therapeutic target for inflammation-linked amyloidosis wherein N-terminal fragments of serum amyloid A (SAA) protein deposit in the kidney and liver.
