The local structure plays a crucial role in oxygen redox reactions, which boosts the capacity of layered oxide cathodes for sodium-ion batteries. While studies on local structural ordering have primarily focused on the intra-layer ordering, there has been limited research on the inter-layer stacking for the layered cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries. In this work, the impact of the intra-layer and inter-layer local structural regulation on anionic kinetics and the structure stability are explored through experimental analysis and theoretical calculations.

Previous research suggests mitochondrial apoptosis alleviates rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but the role of mitochondrial apoptosis-related genes (MARGs) is unclear. Urgent exploration of RA-related mitochondrial apoptosis biomarkers is needed. Gene Expression Ontology (GEO)-derived RA datasets were used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) compared to normal controls, intersected with MARGs to obtain differentially expressed mitochondrial apoptosis-related genes (DE-MARGs).

Objectives: To identify the key genes and immunological pathways shared by type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and explore the potential therapeutic targets of T2DM complicated by COPD.
Methods: GEO database was used for analyzing the gene expression profiles in T2DM and COPD to identify the common differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the two diseases. A protein-protein interaction network was constructed to identify the candidate hub genes, which were validated in datasets and disease sets to obtain the target genes.

Background: This study investigates the effect of botulinum toxin A on lipid layer thickness (LLT) and blink dynamics in patients with benign essential blepharospasm (BEB) compared to dry eye disease (DED) patients.
Methods: We reviewed the medical records of patients with dry eye disease (DED) and BEB treated with botulinum toxin A (BoT A) injections. Data on demographics, lipid layer thickness (LLT), meiboscore, and blink dynamics measured using a LipiView II interferometer before and 2 months after BoT A were collected.

The fundamental hydrolysis behavior of tetravalent actinide cations (An) with a high charge is crucial for understanding their solution chemistry, particularly in nuclear fuel reprocessing and environmental behavior. Using Th as a reference of the An series, this work employed both the periodic model and the cluster model to calculate the first hydrolysis reaction constant (p) of the Th aqua ion and conducted a detailed evaluation of these approaches. In the periodic model, molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations of Th in the explicit solvation environment are conducted, using metadynamics and constrained molecular dynamics to calculate p values.
