Objective: To study the associations of genetic markers influencing the residual reactivity of platelets during antiplatelet therapy with acetylsalicylic acid, and clinical and laboratory parameters, including parameters of the platelet hemostasis, in patients with non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke (IS) for a deeper understanding of the pathogenetic mechanisms and prediction of response to therapy and clinical outcome.

Material And Methods: The study included 296 patients (average age 64.65 [55; 76] years) undergoing treatment at the City Clinical Hospital named after.

Aims: Heart failure (HF) and erectile dysfunction (ED) share numerous risk factors and pathogenetic mechanisms, resulting in a high prevalence of ED among male patients with HF. This questionnaire-based study aimed to better understand the patient's journey from a patient perspective and that of healthcare professionals (HCPs) regarding communication, education and treatment of ED as a recognized comorbid condition.

Methods: Two independent online surveys were conducted between November 2021 and January 2022 in Germany.

Background: Several foot models have been developed to estimate the behaviors of the plantar aponeurosis (PA) during movements. However, these models did not consider the actual path of the PA, and their validity remains insufficiently investigated due to the absence of direct PA measurement during movements.

Research Question: Would developing a foot model that considers the actual path of the PA improve the accuracy of estimating the PA behavior during movements?

Methods: The foot model was developed based on the CT scans of the six feet with 20 markers attached.

Introduction: In recent years, the understanding of atopic dermatitis (AD) pathogenetic mechanisms has expanded and now it is recognized that Th2 immune axis dysregulation is pivotal to AD pathogenesis. The advent of biological drugs and small molecules have marked a revolution in the treatment of AD. Dupilumab, targeting IL-4 and IL-13, has been the first to demonstrate efficacy in treating moderate to severe AD by modulating type-2 inflammation pathways.

Laboratory of Pathology of Implant Infections, Laboratory of Immunorheumatology and Tissue Regeneration, IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Bologna, Italy.

SUMMARY is a major human pathogen. It can cause many types of infections, in particular bacteremia, which frequently leads to infective endocarditis, osteomyelitis, sepsis, and other debilitating diseases. The development of secondary infections is based on the bacterium's ability to associate with endothelial cells lining blood vessels.
