The aim of this study was to assess the utility of weighted amide proton transfer (APT) MRI in three different rodent models of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). APT MRI was evaluated in models of diethylnitrosamine (DEN) induced HCC, N1S1 syngeneic orthotopic xenograft and human HepG2 ectopic xenograft. All models of HCC showed a higher APT signal over the surrounding normal tissues.

Background: Infiltrative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a therapeutic challenge due to its aggressive course and poor prognosis. Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) plus immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and molecular targeted therapies (MTTs) has shown early promise for advanced HCC, but its role in advanced infiltrative HCC is unclear. This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of HAIC combined with ICIs and MTTs in the treatment of advanced infiltrative HCC.

Background: Accurate blood pressure monitoring is essential in many clinical scenarios for adults and children and, when continuous measurement is critical, necessitates the insertion of an arterial line. A novel continuous non-invasive arterial pressure monitoring device using a pulse contour algorithm (Pulse Decomposition Analysis), Vitalstream™, is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for use in adults. In this study the performance and accuracy of the device compared to intraarterial blood pressure monitoring were assessed in children ages 2-17 undergoing major surgeries.

Blood pressure (BP) is a dynamic measure that is frequently discussed in static terms. There exist many limitations in current documentation systems whereby documented BP values may not be reflective of the dynamic variability of BP. This study used an observational, prospective, non-randomized study design to examine the variability in BP response during intravenous vasoactive medication administration in an intensive care unit setting.
