Background And Aim: Endoscopic biliary drainage with placement of a self-expanding metal stent (SEMS) is the preferred palliative treatment of malignant biliary obstruction. Recent advances in the treatment have prolonged survival, thus, increasing the chance of recurrent biliary obstruction (RBO) after SEMS placement. The aim of this study was to compare different endoscopic approaches in patients with a SEMS and RBO, regarding clinical success and time to RBO.

Formerly termed or , core muscle injury (CMI) encompasses abnormality of structures within the so-called core, which is essentially the hip, abdomen, and pubis. Compared with data on image-guided procedures of other joints, information regarding procedures performed to address CMI and other disorders of the pubic symphysis is lacking. These procedures can be daunting given the joint's small size, surrounding critical neurovascular structures, and three-dimensional anatomy.

Background: Delirium frequently occurs in palliative care settings, yet its screening, identification, and management remain suboptimal in clinical practice. This review aims to elucidate the barriers preventing healthcare professionals from effectively screening, recognizing, and managing delirium in adult patients receiving specialist palliative care, with the goal of developing strategies to enhance clinical practice.

Objective: To compare the sociodemographic and clinical profiles of patients with advanced cancer admitted to a tertiary palliative care unit before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: This is an analysis of data from patients receiving care before (10/21/2019 to 03/16/2020) and during (09/23/2020 to 08/26/2021) the COVID-19 pandemic. Sociodemographic and clinical data were evaluated.
