Replacement lipomatosis and renal sinus lipomatosis are parts of a spectrum of fatty replacement of destroyed or atrophic renal tissue. When long-standing inflammation exists in a kidney, especially with calculus disease, replacement lipomatosis may be the end result. Awareness of this process along with the specific radiologic findings will allow a correct preoperative diagnosis.

Synovial lipomatosis or lipoma arborescens is a very uncommon pseudo-tumorous lesion of the synovium which more commonly affects the knee joint. The most probable cause of this pathological lesion is degenerative articular disorders of the joint and improper fat accumulation. It is characterized by presence of villous proliferation of the synovium and replacement of the sub-synovial tissue by mature adipocytes which is infiltrated by dense chronic inflammatory cells like lymphocytes, plasma cells and eosinophils.

We present a case of sudden cardiac death in a 65-year-old patient who came to the emergency room with shortness of breath. The gross examination of the heart was significant for extensive left ventricular lipomatosis in association with myocardial fibrosis. Microscopic examination revealed extensive fatty replacement of the myocardial tissue throughout the entire thickness of the ventricular wall (transmural lipomatous myocardial remodeling).

Background: Lipomatous pseudohypertrophy of the pancreas, pancreatic lipomatosis, pancreatic steatosis, non-alcoholic fatty pancreatic disease, or fatty pancreas is an extremely rare disease, characterized by the organ enlargement and a localized or diffuse replacement of pancreatic acinar cells by mature adipose tissue, preserving the pancreatic ductal system and islets of Langerhans.
Aims: To report a rare case of lipomatous pseudohypertrophy of the pancreas in a symptomatic patient and the surgical treatment employed.
Methods: A 24-year-old male patient with weight loss (10 kilograms in 8 months), hyperglycemia, severe and recurrent acute abdominal pain, epigastric discomfort associated with nausea, vomiting, and jaundice for 40 days.
