Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are found extensively in various environments, yet most are non-pathogenic. Only a limited number of these organisms can cause various infections, including those affecting the lungs, skin, and central nervous system, particularly when the host's autoimmune function is compromised. Among these, Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria Pulmonary Diseases (NTM-PD) are the most prevalent.

In the past 20 years infections caused by Mycobacterioides abscessus have become increasingly common in patients with chronic lung conditions. The microorganisms are also resistant to a number of antibiotic classes, making treatment challenging. To begin understanding how the bacterium adapts to the lung environment, pure colonies of M.

Buruli ulcer (BU) a neglected disease induced by the bacterium Mycobacterium ulcerans, predominantly impacts tropical and subtropical areas with its pathophysiology ascribed to the Mycolactone protein. Current antibiotics frequently prove insufficient to manage advanced or chronic ulcers and the rise of drug resistance presents a considerable challenge. This work aims to address these challenges by employing computational methods to identify therapeutic candidates from organic compounds, which may be developed into more effective therapies for Buruli ulcer.

Background: The emergence of drug-resistant Tuberculosis (TB) has made treatment challenging. Although fluoroquinolones (FQs) are used as key drugs in the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), the problem of FQs resistance is becoming increasingly serious. Rifampicin (RIF) resistance is considered a risk factor for FQs resistance.

Background: Idiopathic CD4+ T lymphocytopenia is a rare immune dysfunction disease that is usually found after opportunistic infections. Mycobacterium abscessus is a rapidly growing mycobacterium that can cause pulmonary infections, lymphadenitis, skin and soft tissue infections, disseminated infections, among others, as a conditional pathogenic bacterium.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a 43-year-old Chinese woman who developed disseminated Mycobacterium abscessus infection due to idiopathic CD4+ T lymphocytopenia.
