Background: Recent studies suggest a connection between immunoglobulin light chains (IgLCs) and coronary heart disease (CHD). However, current diagnostic methods using peripheral blood IgLCs levels or subtype ratios show limited accuracy for CHD, lacking comprehensive assessment and posing challenges in early detection and precise disease severity evaluation. We aim to develop and validate a Coronary Health Index (CHI) incorporating total IgLCs levels and their distribution.

Background And Objective: Esophageal cancer (EC) is the seventh most prevalent cancer globally and the sixth leading cause of cancer-related mortality. This study aimed to provide an updated stratified assessment of rates in EC incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) from 1990 to 2021 by sex, age, and Socio-demographic Index (SDI) at global, regional, and national levels, as well as to project the future trends of EC both globally and regionally.
Methods: Data about age-standardized rates (ASRs) of incidence (ASIR), mortality (ASDR), probability of death (ASPoD) and DALYs (ASDALYRs) of EC were obtained from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study.

Avian coccidiosis is one of the many disorders that seriously harm birds' digestive systems. Nowadays the light is shed on using Phytochemical/herbal medicines as alternative natural anti-coccidial chemical-free standards. Consequently, this study aimed to investigate the impact of lawsonia inermis powder (LIP), and Acacia nilotica aqueous extract (ANAE), on growth performance, serum biochemical, antioxidant status, cytokine biomarkers, total oocyst count and intestinal histopathology of broiler chickens challenged with coccidiosis.

This study explores the effect of risk factors on the progression of idiopathic rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) to α-synucleinopathies in a Chinese cohort. Patients with iRBD were enrolled and assessed for environmental factors and lifestyle using standardized structured questionnaires at baseline. All patients were prospectively followed for phenoconversion monitoring.

This work prepared the soy protein isolate (SPI)-beeswax-based bigel loaded with β-carotene, and the effect of printing temperature (PT) on texture regulation was investigated. During printing, increasing PT weakened the rheological properties and printability of ink. However, the mechanical strength and deformation resistance at non-linear regions of products were strengthened after printing.
