Membranous nephropathy (MN) is a rare complication that can occur after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). MN patients may develop nephrotic syndrome or even kidney failure, which greatly affects their quality of life and prognosis. However, current knowledge regarding MN after allo-HSCT is limited.

Objective: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a type of autoimmune disease that involves multiple organs involved as well as cytokine dysregulation. The treatment of SLE is still challenging due to the side effects of the different drugs used. Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1) is a kinase involved in T cell homeostasis and autoinflammation.

Following allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) may develop which may affect several organs. Although the presence of nephrotic syndrome after HSCT is rare, sometimes it occurs in the setting of GVHD. The most common histological finding on kidney biopsy of patients with proteinuria owing to GVHD is membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN).
