Background: With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), medicine has entered the era of intelligent medicine, and various aspects, such as medical education and talent cultivation, are also being redefined. The cultivation of clinical thinking abilities poses a formidable challenge even for seasoned clinical educators, as offline training modalities often fall short in bridging the divide between current practice and the desired ideal. Consequently, there arises an imperative need for the expeditious development of a web-based database, tailored to empower physicians in their quest to learn and hone their clinical reasoning skills.

Background: Recurrent vaginitis in conjunction with urinary tract infection (RV/UTI) in perimenopausal women is a common clinical condition that impacts both doctors and patients. Its pathogenesis is not completely known, but the urogenital microbiota is thought to be involved. We compared the urogenital and gut microbiotas of perimenopausal women experiencing RV/UTI with those of age-matched controls to provide a new microbiological perspective and scheme for solving clinical problems.

Background: Endoplasmic reticulum stress with protein misfolding has been introduced as a key pathogenetic mechanism in lupus nephritis (LN). Pregnancy is thought to exaggerate proteostasis, which leads to the accumulation of potentially pathogenic misfolded proteins in the urine, serum, and placenta particularly in women with preeclampsia. The detection of misfolded proteins is made using Congo red stain, which is referred to as congophilia.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a multifaceted global challenge, partly driven by inappropriate antibiotic prescribing. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on treatment of common infections, develop risk prediction models and examine the effects of antibiotics on infection-related hospital admissions.
Methods: With the approval of NHS England, we accessed electronic health records from The Phoenix Partnership (TPP) through OpenSAFELY platform.

High-dose methotrexate (HDMTX) chemotherapy is associated with a significant risk of acute kidney injury (AKI). Acetazolamide is thought to increase methotrexate solubility via urinary alkalinisation, potentially reducing the risk of crystalline nephropathy. A tertiary hospital has included acetazolamide in its HDMTX protocols, although data on the risks and benefits are limited.
