Sensitive and accurate determination of acetamiprid is highly desirable for guaranteeing food safety. In this Letter, an energy-transfer-based dual-mode biosensor was developed using zinc-based metal-organic frameworks (Zn-MOFs) acting as both photoelectrochemical (PEC) and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) donors and Pt@CuO cubic nanocrystals (CNs) as the energy acceptor for detecting acetamiprid. By integration of aptamer recognition with two-step DNA circuit amplification (entropy-driven DNA cycle and DNA walker), the detection of acetamiprid was converted into the assay of abundant intermediate DNA strands.

The focus of this study was to assess the environmental impact of the BATOKE oil sludge dump. A field visit was conducted to evaluate the condition of the site, followed by the sampling of oil sludge, BATOKE river water, soil, and locally grown manioc and macabo tubers. Subsequent physico-chemical characterization revealed parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, total hydrocarbons, COD, BOD5, TSS, major cations and anions, as well as heavy metals including iron, copper, zinc, nickel, chromium, lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, calcium, potassium, titanium, zirconium, and rubidium.

Objectives: While some metals have been reported as carcinogens or potential carcinogens, only few modern-standard datasets including a large number of elements are available. The present analysis established a first trace elements spectrum by relating the concentration of metals and trace elements in the serum of sarcoma patients with survival data.
Methods: Patients with sarcoma and controls were retrospectively selected from the International Sarcoma Kindred Study database (ISKS).
