Unlabelled: is a protozoan parasite that causes human and animal African trypanosomiases (HAT and AAT). Cardiac symptoms are commonly reported in HAT patients, and intracardiac parasites with accompanying myocarditis have been observed in both natural hosts and animal models of infection. Despite the importance of as a cause of cardiac dysfunction and the dramatic socioeconomic impact of African trypanosomiases in sub-Saharan Africa, there are currently no reproducible murine models of associated cardiomyopathy.

This study aimed to analyze computational techniques in ECG imaging (ECGI) reconstruction, focusing on dataset identification, problem-solving, and feature extraction. We employed a PRISMA approach to review studies from Scopus and Web of Science, applying Cochrane principles to assess risk of bias. The selection was limited to English peer-reviewed papers published from 2010 to 2023, excluding studies that lacked computational technique descriptions.

In 2024, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Willem Einthoven receiving the Nobel Prize for his discovery of the mechanism of the electrocardiogram (ECG). Building on Einthoven's legacy, electrocardiography allows the monitoring of cardiac bioelectricity through solutions to the so-called forward and inverse problems. These solutions link local cardiac electrical signals with the morphology of the ECG, offering a reversible connection between the heart's electrical activity and its representation on the body surface.

We established a program for risk group identification in students and analyzed the screenings according to the ACCF/AHA Stages and NYHA functional classification. An important distinction between true ST segment elevation caused by myocardial infarction and an artefact is that the baseline elevation in an artefact may begin before or after the appearance of the QRS complex.
