Introduction: The endothelial cells derived from the human vein cord (HUVECs) are used as in-vitro models for studying cellular and molecular pathophysiology, drug and hormones transport mechanisms, or pathways. In these studies, the proliferation and quantity of cells are important features that should be monitored and assessed regularly. So rapid, easy, noninvasive, and inexpensive methods are favorable for this purpose.

In the present study, AA2024 aluminum alloy and AISI304 stainless steel were welded in a lap joint configuration by Probeless Friction Stir Spot Welding (P-FSSW) with a flat surface tool. A full factorial DOE plan was performed. The effect of the tool force (4900, 7350 N) and rotational speed (500, 1000, 1500, 2000 RPM) was analyzed regarding the microstructure and microhardness study.

Spectroscopic, scattering, and imaging methods play an important role in advancing the study of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical therapies. The tools more familiar to scientists within industry and beyond, such as nuclear magnetic resonance and fluorescence spectroscopy, serve two functions: as simple high-throughput techniques for identification and purity analysis, and as potential tools for measuring dynamics and structures of complex biological systems, from proteins and nucleic acids to membranes and nanoparticle delivery systems. With the expansion of commercial small-angle x-ray scattering instruments into the laboratory setting and the accessibility of industrial researchers to small-angle neutron scattering facilities, scattering methods are now used more frequently in the industrial research setting, and probe-less time-resolved small-angle scattering experiments are now able to be conducted to truly probe the mechanism of reactions and the location of individual components in complex model or biological systems.

Progressive aggregation and protein misfolding are the initial fundamental indicators of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this study, a highly sensitive and novel method to detect amyloid beta (Aβ) biomarkers, which are a hallmark of AD, using an immunoassay platform-based interdigitated capacitive biosensor, has been explored. For several decades, aptamers have classified as a novel class of molecular recognition probes comprising single-stranded complementary DNA sequences that bind to their identified targets with high specificity and affinity by an in vitro technique called SELEX (systematic evolution of exponential and enrichment).

Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito-borne infection, predominant in tropical and subtropical regions causing international concern due to the ZIKV disease having been associated with congenital disabilities, especially microcephaly and other congenital abnormalities in the fetus and newborns. Development of strategies that minimize the devastating impact by monitoring and preventing ZIKV transmission through sexual intercourse, especially in pregnant women, since no vaccine is yet available for the prevention or treatment, is critically important. ZIKV infection is generally asymptomatic and cross-reactivity with dengue virus (DENV) is a global concern.
