Peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) often lead to semi or complete loss of motor, sensory and autonomic functions. Although autografts are still the best option for PNI repair, their use is restricted due to the morbidity and availability of donor nerves. Because electrospun scaffolds may replicate the structure of native extracellular matrix (ECM), they provide a viable alternative.

The brain's complex functionality emerges from network interactions that go beyond dyadic connections, with higher-order interactions significantly contributing to this complexity. Homotopic functional connectivity (HoFC) is a key neurophysiological characteristic of the human brain, reflecting synchronized activity between corresponding regions in the brain's hemispheres. Using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data from the Human Connectome Project, we evaluate dyadic and higher-order interactions of three functional connectivity (FC) parameterizations-bivariate correlation, partial correlation, and tangent space embedding-in their effectiveness at capturing HoFC through the inter-hemispheric analogy test.

There is a recent dramatic increase in research on thoracic aortic diseases that includes aneurysms, dissections, and rupture. Experimental studies predominantly use mice in which aortopathy is induced by chemical interventions, genetic manipulations, or both. Many parameters should be deliberated in experimental design in concert with multiple considerations when providing dimensional data and characterization of aortic tissues.

Objective: The prevalence of students with disabilities in physical therapist education programs in the United States is <1%. This case report explored the experiences surrounding a specific, unique individual student with blindness or visual impairment (BVI) within the context of an entry-level physical therapist program. The purpose was not merely to describe 1 student's journey but to capture the complex dynamics and shifts in perceptions of students, faculty, staff, and clinicians.

Nanovaccines, as a new generation of vaccines, have garnered significant interest due to their exceptional potential in enhancing disease prevention and treatment. Their unique features, such as high stability, antigens protection, prolonged retention, and targeted delivery to lymph nodes, immune cells, and tumors, set them apart as promising candidates in the field of immunotherapy. Polymers, with their superior degradability, capacity to mimic pathogen characteristics, and surface functionality that facilitates modifications, serve as ideal carriers for vaccine components.
