The discovery of Kisspeptin (Kiss) has opened a new direction in research on neuroendocrine control of reproduction in vertebrates. Belonging to the RF amide family of peptides, Kiss and its cognate receptor Gpr54 (Kissr) have a long and complex evolutionary history. Multiple forms of Kiss and Kissr are identified in non-mammalian vertebrates, with the exception of birds, and monotreme mammals.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of and long-term survival with combined organ resection for esophageal cancer (EC).
Background: The optimal treatment strategy for EC that is invading adjacent organs is not established.
Methods: Ninety patients with EC invading adjacent organs who underwent combined organ resection after induction treatments during 2003-2023 in our institute were eligible for the study.

Previous studies have found that EMT transcription factors are essential in the development of various cancers through their induction of EMT. Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Cholestatic liver injury (CLI) is a pathophysiological syndrome characterized by the accumulation of bile acids (BAs), which leads to significant hepatic dysfunction. Ischemic stroke (IS) is a pathological condition characterized by the cessation of blood flow due to factors such as thrombosis, inflicting severe damage to the cranial nervous system and resulting in numerous disabilities including memory impairments and hemiplegia. Despite the critical nature of this condition, therapeutic options remain limited, with a pressing challenge being the development of treatments aimed at restoring neurological function. In this study, we leveraged zebrafish, renowned for their exceptional regenerative capabilities, to analyze the pathology of IS and the subsequent recovery process.
