The history, clinical picture and non-specific parameters of the restorative process were studied in 28 patients with spastic torticollis and in 7 patients with other extrapyramidal hyperkineses (EH). It was found that one of the most frequent causes of these disorders is a chronic encephalitis or the infectious-allergic process in the brain with the predominant damage to a number of extrapyramidal formations. The most optimum and effective method of EH therapy is repeated courses of dexamethasone treatment in combination with antibiotics, B and C vitamins and vasodilating drugs. If there are any foci of infection, their preliminary sanation is necessary.

Background And Objective: The impact of lifetime body mass index (BMI) trajectories on adult lung function abnormalities has not been investigated previously. We investigated associations of BMI trajectories from childhood to mid-adulthood with lung function deficits and COPD in mid-adulthood.
Methods: Five BMI trajectories (n = 4194) from age 5 to 43 were identified in the Tasmanian Longitudinal Health Study.

Background Endometriosis-related infertility and its treatment with assisted reproductive technologies (ART) have been broadly researched. Yet, underlying mechanisms of infertility, particularly in the absence of tubal dysfunction, remain unclear. While the impact of inflammatory milieu on the ovary and/or endometrium has been indicated as a contributing factor, recent evidence from euploid transfers and donor cycles questions the extent of these effects.

Retrieving words quickly and correctly is an important language competence. Semantic contexts, such as prior naming of categorically related objects, can induce conceptual priming but also lexical-semantic interference, the latter likely due to enhanced competition during lexical selection. In the continuous naming (CN) paradigm, such semantic interference is evident in a linear increase in naming latency with each additional member of a category out of a seemingly random sequence of pictures being named (cumulative semantic interference/CSI effect).
