This second report in a series of three deals with the prognostic importance of the presence of multiple, histologically identifiable architectural patterns in prostatic carcinomas. In the previous paper three of 12 parameters studied were identified as being prognostically significant in patients with single architectural patterns (formations) present in their tumors. The three parameters are nuclear anaplasia, architecture ("glands"), and mitoses, if present. The questions of whether "the worst part of a tumor determines prognosis" or "the presence of differentiated formations improves prognosis" are investigated by applying these parameters to patients with multiple tumor formations. Overall and corrected survival served as parameters. It was shown that the parameters shown to be of importance for prognosis in tumors with single formations also have significant influence in patients with multiple formations. The worst formation determines prognosis, but patients with poorly differentiated tumors do significantly worse if their tumor is homogeneous. The presence of better-differentiated formations improves the prognosis of the worst formation. The observations made are discussed in view of the histopathogenesis of prostatic cancer.

However, it has remained unclear whether these characteristics are epiphenomena or are exploited for computation. Due to the challenge of selectively interfering with oscillatory network dynamics in neuronal systems, we simulated recurrent networks of damped harmonic oscillators in which oscillatory activity is enforced in each node, a choice well supported by experimental findings.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) are a heterogeneous group of neoplasms that include tumors with different histomorphologic characteristics that can be correlated to sub-categories with different prognoses. In addition to the WHO grading scheme based on tumor proliferative activity, a new parameter based on the scoring of infiltration patterns at the interface of tumor and non-neoplastic parenchyma (tumor-NNP interface) has recently been proposed for PanNET categorization. Despite the known correlations, these categorizations can still be problematic due to the need for human judgment, which may involve intra- and inter-observer variability.

Since the 1990s, the Pacific oyster has faced significant mortality, which has been associated with the detection of the Ostreid Herpesvirus type 1 (OsHV-1). Due to the complex genomic architecture and the presence of multiple genomic isomers, short-read sequencing using Illumina method struggles to accurately assemble tandem and repeat regions and to identify and characterize large structural variations in the OsHV-1 genome. Third-generation sequencing technologies, as long-read real-time nanopore sequencing from Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT), offer new possibilities for OsHV-1 whole-genome analysis.

For this reason, a project has been launched to carry out the green transformation of the UPV toward a university that prioritizes sustainability in all its areas.
Methods: As part of this project, a survey was conducted using anonymous online questionnaires for the student population and employees.
