Morgagni hernia (MH), a rare type of congenital diaphragmatic hernia, does not have an established protocol for surgical repair. A MEDLINE search with terms related to various surgical approaches to repair MH in children was conducted. Articles comprising robotic-assisted surgery, laparoscopy, laparotomy, thoracoscopy, and thoracotomy over the last 20 years were assessed.

Subinvolution of the placental site can lead to severe post-partum haemorrhage, though it is a rare cause of the condition. Subinvolution of the placental site is an abnormal persistence of widely dilated uteroplacental spiral arteries in the absence of retained products of conception, and is associated with an increased risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. This report presents a case of an uneventful caesarean section that was followed by multiple presentations of major secondary post-partum haemorrhage, with a subsequent diagnosis of subinvolution of the placental site on histopathology.

Mediastinum, as site for malignant melanoma, is extremely rare, both as a primary or metastatic lesion. We present an extremely rare case of primary melanoma presenting as an anterior-superior mediastinal mass in a 65 years-old woman who went to the hospital for neurological symptoms due to unknown metastatic brain melanomas.

Primary extracranial meningiomas (PEMs) of the sinonasal tract with no intracranial extension are rare. Our study presents the largest systematic review to date, providing a comprehensive overview and comparison of the characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of PEMs, with comparison to primary intracranial meningiomas (PIMs). A systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines on PubMed, Embase, and Google Scholar up to November 1, 2022.
