Our naturalistic experiences are organized into memories through multiple processes, including novelty encoding, memory formation, and retrieval. However, the neural mechanisms coordinating these processes remain elusive. Using fMRI data acquired during movie viewing and subsequent narrative recall, we examine hippocampal neural subspaces associated with distinct memory processes and characterized their relationships.

Background And Objectives: Automated, anatomically coherent retinal layer segmentation in optical coherence tomography (OCT) is one of the most important components of retinal disease management. However, current methods rely on large amounts of labeled data, which can be difficult and expensive to obtain. In addition, these systems tend often propose anatomically impossible results, which undermines their clinical reliability.

Weakly-supervised learning (WSL) methods have gained significant attention in medical image segmentation, but they often face challenges in accurately delineating boundaries due to overfitting to weak annotations such as bounding boxes. This issue is particularly pronounced in thyroid ultrasound images, where low contrast and noisy backgrounds hinder precise segmentation. In this paper, we propose a novel weakly-supervised segmentation framework that addresses these challenges.

Biparental care impacts the quantity and quality of care the offspring receives. The increased attention by the father may translate to heightened tactile contact the offspring receives through licking and grooming.

The Eastern Boundary Upwelling Systems (EBUS) sustains some of the most productive marine systems on Earth. Within each of these systems, the upwelling process exhibits spatial and temporal variation resulting in marked differences in upwelling intensity and seasonality along extensive coastlines. The study of this variation is well needed, given the magnitude of the services provided by upwelling, and the impending impacts of global warming on EBUS.
