Local drug delivery via inter-articular injection offers a promising scenario to treat the most common joint disease, osteoarthritis (OA), which is closely associated with the increased friction or cartilage degeneration and the inflammatory syndrome of synovium. Therefore, it is quite necessary to improve the retention of drug delivery system within synovial joint, simultaneously restore the lubrication of degraded cartilage and meanwhile alleviate the inflammation. In this study, we propose a hydrophilic coating modified nano-liposome drug carrier (PMPC-Lipo) to achieve these functions.

Canoe polo is an increasingly popular discipline requiring both kayaking and ball-handling skills. While the kinematics of the upper body during throw has been investigated for several overhead sports, the canoe polo throw has still to be studied. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the canoe polo throw kinematics in terms of angles and inter-articular sequencing to understand its specificity.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of suprascapular nerve block (SSNB) with other treatment modalities for management of HSP in terms of relieving pain and improving range of motion of shoulder joints.
Materials And Methods: An electronic search was carried out in PubMed, CENTRAL, SCOPUS and EMBASE databases using a series of relevant keywords, along with a manual search. Randomized clinical trials comparing the efficacy of SSNB with placebo injections, intra-articular injections (IAI), ultrasound and Pulsed RF were identified.

Introduction: Congenital disorders of the craniovertebral junction (CVJ) include a wide range of conditions, such as Chiari malformation (CM), basilar Invagination (BI), and atlantoaxial dislocation (AAD). The objective of this paper is to critically review the literature related to the management of congenital CVJ disorders focusing on: the significant developments in the past (from anterior open ventral decompression to modern CVJ realignment); the diagnosis of CVJ instability; the role of atlantoaxial fixation without posterior fossa decompression in patients with tonsillar herniation and no evidence of CVJ instability; use of C1-2 inter-articular spacers and use of C1-2 interarticular spacers with intra-operative manipulations to correct BI with AAD along with its deformity.
Materials And Methods: We performed a review of articles showing up on PubMed database without time restriction.

Audible squeaking has put the reputation of ceramic bearings for total hip replacements into question. Inter-articular friction induces vibrations in the ceramic head which are transferred through the head-taper interface to the femoral stem. If excited to sufficient amplitudes, squeaking can be emitted by the stem.
