Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) presents excessive orthostatic tachycardia and orthostatic intolerance. POTS is a common and therapeutically challenging condition affecting numerous people worldwide. As many disease entities can be confused with POTS, it becomes critical to identify this syndrome.

Background And Purpose: Critical illness polyneuropathy (CIP) has been linked to neurocardiac dysfunction mediated by autonomic nervous system dysregulation, which increases mortality. We aimed to assess if heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback could improve neurocardiac function in CIP.
Methods: We randomly allocated (1:1) patients with electrophysiologically confirmed CIP undergoing early inpatient neurological rehabilitation to additional HRV or sham biofeedback over 14 days.

Neurocardiac dysfunction worsens clinical outcome and increases mortality in stroke survivors. We hypothesized that heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback improves neurocardiac function by modulating autonomic nervous system activity after acute ischaemic stroke (AIS). We randomly allocated (1:1) 48 acute ischaemic stroke patients to receive nine sessions of HRV- or sham biofeedback over 3 days in addition to comprehensive stroke unit care.

Purpose: Sedentary behavior increases the risk for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease. To understand potential benefits and underlying mechanisms, we examined the acute and long-term effect of reduced sitting intervention on vascular and cerebrovascular function.
Methods: This prospective study included 24 individuals with increased cardiovascular risk (65 ± 5 yr, 29.

Background And Objective: Stress is an environmental cue, which may lead to increased alcohol craving, and vulnerability to relapse. Heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback, a supplement standard for inpatient rehabilitation, has been applied for treatment and has been shown to effectively reduce craving and anxiety, increase HRV, and improve vasomotor function, among patients who have alcohol dependence problems. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of HRV biofeedback and the Phramongkutklao model (PMK model) as an intensive inpatient rehabilitation program concerning stress and craving reduction of inpatients with alcohol use disorder.
