Background & Objective: Chronic suppurative otitis media is a fatal condition owing to its propensity for intracranial extension. The inadvertent use of antibiotics has led to resistance among causative organisms. The objectives of this study were to determine causative bacteria, their antibiotic resistance and susceptibility patterns, and their response to antibiotics after a one-month follow-up.

Background: Ceramide, a key molecule in sphingolipid metabolism, is recognized as a standalone predictor of long-term major adverse cardiac events (MACE). We explore if integrating the global registry of acute coronary events (GRACE) score with the ceramide risk score (ceramide test 1, CERT1) improves MACE prediction in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: This cohort study included 210 participants with ACS undergoing PCI.

The aim of this study was to assess the case fatality ratio (CFR) in persons with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) hospitalized due to severe COVID-19, and to investigate the role of risk factors for fatal outcome in this well-defined cohort. This case series study included all PwMS (N=32) with severe COVID-19, who were hospitalized in the COVID-19 referral center in Belgrade from January 2021 to January 2022. Eight out of these 32 patients died from COVID-19 (CFR 25%).
