The DNA repeat size is determined by micrococcal nuclease digestion kinetics and subsequent electrophoresis of the products among various chick embryonic tissues. The repeat size is found to be not significantly different from 193 to 197 bp, for brain and liver at 11 days and for lens epithelium and fiber at different embryonic stages. However, the pattern of micrococcal digestion seems to reveal an overall chromatin modification as a function of development in the lens fibers.

Background: Thyroid nodules classified cytologically as low-risk indeterminate lesions (TIR3A) on fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) present a clinical challenge due to their uncertain malignancy risk. This single-center study aimed to evaluate the natural history of TIR3A nodules.
Materials And Methods: FNABs performed between July 2017 and December 2019 were retrospectively retrieved and patients with TIR3A nodules were evaluated at baseline and throughout a follow-up based on ultrasound (US) parameters and clinical data.

Background: In this study, we present an in-depth analysis of the Eurasian minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) genome, highlighting its genetic diversity, structural variations, and evolutionary adaptations. We generated an annotated haplotype-phased, chromosome-level genome assembly (2n = 50) by integrating high-fidelity (HiFi) long reads and chromosome conformation capture data (Hi-C).
Results: We achieved a haploid size of 940 megabase pairs (Mbp) for haplome 1 and 929 Mbp for haplome 2 with high scaffold N50 values of 36.

Automatic segmentation of angiographic structures can aid in assessing vascular disease. While recent deep learning models promise automation, they lack validation on interventional angiographic data. This study investigates the feasibility of angiographic segmentation using in-context learning with the UniverSeg model, which is a cross-learning segmentation model that lacks inherent angiographic training.

Since the publication of its draft genome in 2007, the genome has drawn attention for several reasons, including its unusually large size, massive expansion of gene families, and high repeat content. The fragmented nature of the draft assembly made it challenging to obtain accurate metrics of features, such as spliceosomal introns.

Rice grain size influences both grain yield and quality, making it a significant target for rice genetic improvement. In recent years, numerous genes related to grain size with differential effects have been cloned. The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (Cas9) gene editing system is a convenient tool for modifying genes.
