Background: Long term studies have shown the Latarjet procedure to be successful in preventing re-dislocation in primary and recurrent anterior inferior shoulder instability. It provides stability through the sling effect of the conjoint tendon and the bone block. It is unclear whether augmentation with capsular repair provides an added benefit or leads to restricted range of external rotation.

[Proximal iliotibial band tear: a case report in an amateur football player].

The iliotibial band originates from the iliac crest and the hip joint capsule, extending along the entire lateral surface until it inserts onto tuberculum anterolateralis tibiae on the anterolateral tibia. It acts as an agonist of the anterior cruciate ligament. In short, the iliotibial band primarily contributes to the lateral stabilization of the knee joint.

A multi-omics strategy comprising metagenomic and proteomic technologies were undertaken for children diagnosed with presumed septic arthritis to advance clinical diagnoses and care for affected individuals.

Methods: Twelve children with suspected septic arthritis were prospectively enrolled to compare standard of care tests with a rapid multi-omics approach.
