Currently, replacing expensive and short-lived materials for supercapacitors based on RuO with more cost-effective and high-performance materials that remain operational after a large number of cycles is a challenge. Cerium-based materials are the most attractive alternative because of cerium's ability to quickly change oxidation state. This work proposes the synthesis of nanostructured graphene-ceria composite and studies its morphological features arising under the impact of oxygen-free graphene. The mechanism of formation of nano-ceria crystallites when the sol-gel transition occurs on the surface of graphene sheets is also considered. It has been proven that the introduction of 0.5-0.6 wt% graphene sheets into nano-ceria ensures the preservation of its single-phase state, while simultaneously increasing its dispersion. Using the dilatometry method, it has been determined that uniformly distributed sheets of oxygen-free graphene lead to a decrease in temperature of the beginning of composite sintering by 175°C compared with pure nano-ceria and increase the shrinkage value by two times, which, in turn, should promote better sintering. This study fills a gap in the synthesis and characterization of oxygen-free graphene composites, promising raw materials for small devices and large power plants.

Copper nanocrystal has been widely used as nanozyme for construction of optical sensing platforms because of low cost, special catalysis, and high stability. However, low catalytic activity limits further applications in bioanalysis. This study reports one way for improving the catalytic activity of copper nanocrystal by introducing TiCT and arginine and serine-functionalized graphene quantum dot (RSGQD).

This study investigates the synthesis and characterization of Plant-Ag-graphene nanocomposites through a combination of spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, the nanocomposites were formed by catalyzing silver nanoparticles with plant extracts, and the resulting structures were analyzed using advanced instrumentation. In the FTIR analysis, distinctive peaks were observed at 3340 cm⁻1 (O-H stretching), 1740 cm⁻1 (C = O stretching), and 1050 cm⁻1. When compared to silver nanoparticles, the nanocomposites exhibited altered peak intensities, indicating modifications in chemical bonding.

Laser Irradiation and Property Correlation in Double-Lasing Processes on Laser-Induced Graphene Electrodes.

Nanomaterials (Basel)

Department of Chemistry, Research Institute for Basic Sciences, Kyung Hee University, Seoul 02447, Republic of Korea.

The fabrication of laser-induced graphene (LIG) electrodes by direct laser writing techniques has received considerable attention due to its simplicity, versatility, and cost-effectiveness for electrochemical applications in both sensing and energy storage. In general, a single-lasing irradiation process is used to prepare LIG electrodes. However, the intrinsic features of LIG can be further improved by taking advantage of additional lasing processes, even without any chemical treatments.

Achieving large-scale and facile manufacturing for diverse small-scale robots is critical in the field of small-scale robots. At present, conventional manufacturing methods have limitations in terms of efficiency, environmental friendliness, and operability. In particular, it is difficult to facilely process multiform small-scale robots through a single processing technology only.
