Alpha-synuclein pathology is a characteristic feature of Parkinson's disease (PD) and related synucleinopathies. As a result, reducing alpha-synuclein pathology is one of the mechanisms being looked at for the development of newer agents which target these diseases. In the present study, we investigated the potential of HC070, a transient receptor potential canonical 5 (TRPC5) channel inhibitor in reducing alpha-synuclein pathology in PD.

Encephalitis, a severe brain inflammation, can arise due to various infectious agents, including viruses like Parvovirus B19 (B19V). Previously linked to mild neonatal and young one's illnesses and some haematological diseases, recent evidence associates B19V with encephalitis, with no clear prevalence and mechanisms in place. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to determine the prevalence of B19V in cases of encephalitis, exploring variations associated with diagnostic approaches, and identifying gaps in existing research to enhance clinical comprehension and diagnostic methods.

Department of Polymer and Process Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Saharanpur Campus, Saharanpur 247001, India. Electronic address:

This study primarily focuses on an efficient and long-lasting wood coating deemed essential for improving the durability and functionality of items made from wood. Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is used as the base material in the synthesis of a coating films; Ficus auriculata leaf-derived cellulose nanofibers (CNF) are added to the coating to improve its strength and properties. Incorporating PVA and CNF results in a robust structure, while adding extract enhances the coating's functionality by introducing biologically active compounds.
