is a medicinal herb that can be added to food to provide therapeutic effects and reduce the burden of medications. Herein, the immunomodulatory effects of polysaccharides (GPs) were verified and illustrated by intervening immunocompromised rats treated with different doses of GPs, which were reflected for adjusting the composition and structure of the intestinal microbiota and altering the metabolic profile. The immunomodulatory effects of GPs were exerted by regulating the intestinal microenvironment. In particular, GPs could promote the growth of probiotic bacteria , , , and and curb the growth of harmful bacteria . The results showed that GPs had a prebiotic effect, which contributed to improving the intestinal environment and maintaining intestinal health. In addition, the content of beneficial differential metabolites was up-regulated, especially short-chain fatty acids, with alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism; arginine biosynthesis; glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism being the most enriched pathways. These metabolic pathways imply the metabolic process of GPs, and the metabolic pathways and differential effector metabolites of it are focused. Overall, the purpose of this article lies in providing support for the application of GPs for regulating immune function.

Continuous treatment with ibrutinib not only exerts tumor control but also enhances T cell function in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). We conducted longitudinal multi-omics analyses in samples from CLL patients receiving ibrutinib upfront to identify potential adaptive mechanisms to Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibition during the first 12 months of continuous therapy. We found that ibrutinib induced a decrease in the expression of exhaustion markers and the proportion of Tregs and Tfh cells normalized to levels observed in healthy donors.

Introduction: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of supplementing () on hybrid grouper ( ♀ × ♂), with a particular focus on its impact on growth performance, blood composition, intestinal antioxidant capacity, gut microbiota, tight junction protein (ZO-1) expression, and inflammatory gene expression. The study seeks to uncover the potential health benefits of C. butyricum supplementation for hybrid grouper.

Honey bees extract sticky material from the exudates of different plants which transform afterwards to propolis. Propolis from several global locations has been shown to contain a wide variety of polyphenolic chemicals. Recent studies have revealed that propolis possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory abilities.

Food allergy is defined as an abnormal immune system response to the ingestion of certain ingredients or food additives. Beta-glucans may support the management of obesity, particularly due to their immunomodulatory properties. However, the possible adverse reactions of this nutraceutical are little known.

Background: Malnutrition is a clinical condition that leads to unfavourable changes in health. It affects 35-55% of hospitalized patients, and in the case of cancer, this prevalence rises to 40-90% of patients. Screening nutritional status is essential for preventing undernutrition, which is crucial as its treatment.
