Context: In crisis-affected health systems, the performance of health zones (also known as health districts) is challenged by recurrent armed conflicts and state fragility. The profiles of health zone managers and contextual factors can significantly influence the zones' ability to effectively respond to population health needs. This study explores these interactions to identify key factors associated with health zones performances in three provinces of Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a region that has endured over three decades of conflict.

Introduction: The role of pupil participation in school-based physical activity is an often overlooked element despite the increasing interest in pupils' voices in policy development and research. Pupil participation is here defined as collaborative actions involving pupils and school stakeholders that influence decision-making processes in school-based physical activity. This study was conducted to explore how the 10- and 15-year-old pupils perceive their participation roles in school-based physical activity connected to age and the contexts of physically active learning and recess in various schools in Norway and Estonia.

Mpox, previously known as monkeypox, is a viral disease that has become a significant global health concern following outbreaks beyond its endemic regions in central and west Africa. In 2022, the World Health Organization declared a 'public health emergency of international concern' (PHEIC) due to a rise in mpox cases, predominantly affecting gay and bisexual men. Although the initial surge of cases had diminished by early 2023, a new PHEIC was declared in 2024 due to a more severe strain of the virus circulating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
