The integration of second near-infrared (NIR-II) fluorescence imaging and photothermal therapy (PTT) achieved precise and efficient tumor treatment. BODIPY, a promising fluorescent dye, is widely used in biological fluorescence imaging due to its excellent optical properties and chemical stability. However, the excitation wavelengths of BODIPY typically range from 530 nm to 650 nm within the visible spectrum, which significantly limits tissue penetration.

Background: Laparoscopic gastrectomy has proven to be safe and effective as a first-line treatment for early gastric cancer in terms of oncologic results. The da Vinci robotic system offers stable 3D vision, near-infrared fluorescence imaging, and articulating wrist movements, making it suitable for performing reduced-ports robotic pylorus-preserving gastrectomy (RP-RPPG). This study examines the feasibility and safety of RP-RPPG for gastric cancer.

Accurate staging by sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy is essential for improving prognostic outcomes of canine mammary tumors (CMT). Indocyanine green near-infrared fluorescence (ICG-NIRF) imaging offers a novel real-time approach for SLN mapping, potentially enhancing the precision of surgical SLN biopsies. This study evaluated the effectiveness of transcutaneous ICG-NIRF imaging in identifying lymphatic drainage pathways and SLNs in CMT and determined the optimal ICG concentration for visualizing lymphatic channels and SLNs.
