Differentiating expected pediatric knee MRI post-operative changes and meniscal retear after primary repair or debridement may be challenging. This pictorial essay reviews treatment strategies for meniscal tears with or without underlying discoid morphology. MRI pearls and pitfalls to identify meniscal retears and differentiate them from normal post-treatment findings will be shown, geared toward pediatric musculoskeletal radiologists.

Head and neck swellings encompass a broad range of differential diagnoses, often necessitating comprehensive clinical and diagnostic evaluations to reach an accurate diagnosis. Cysticercosis, a parasitic infection caused by the larval form of Taenia solium, typically affects neural and extraneural regions. Although neural manifestations are well-documented, extraneural cysticercosis in the head and neck is rare and can mimic neoplastic and inflammatory conditions, posing diagnostic challenges.

Background: Glioblastoma (GBM) with a primitive neuronal component (PNC) is a recently characterized subtype with a characteristic (epi-)genetic profile and ambiguous microscopic features mimicking a metastasis, making intraoperative diagnosis challenging.
Observations: A 62-year-old female presented with word-finding difficulties. MRI showed 2 contrast-enhancing lesions in the temporal lobe.

Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is the most common of the large vessel vasculitides, with [F] fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT indicated for evaluation of suspected large vessel involvement. Advances in PET/CT technology, particularly with digital PET, have significantly improved the assessment of cranial artery involvement in GCA. Recent guidelines have been updated to incorporate [F]FDG PET/CT imaging in the diagnosis of GCA.
