Research Question: What are the trends and impact of new technologies on the effectiveness and safety of assisted reproductive technology (ART) performed in Latin America during 2021?
Design: This was a retrospective collection of cycle-based multinational data obtained from ART procedures performed by 204 accredited institutions in 16 countries.
Results: In total 127,351 initiated cycles resulted in 20,032 deliveries and 22,708 births. ART utilization showed great variability, from 623.

Postoperative abdominal adhesions are the leading cause of bowel obstruction and a cause of chronic pain and infertility. Adhesion formation occurs after 50 to 90% of abdominal operations and has no proven preventative or treatment strategy. Human clinical trials have reported immunological outcomes can differ between ipsilateral (same side) and contralateral (alternate sides) prime-boost vaccination. However, our mechanistic understanding of how keeping or shifting the anatomical sites of immunization impacts the resultant germinal centers (GCs) and antibody responses is limited. Here, we use an adjuvanted SARS-CoV-2 spike vaccine to dissect GC dynamics in draining lymph nodes and serological outcomes following ipsilateral or contralateral prime-boost vaccination in C57BL/6 mice.

This study investigated the effects of mental fatigue on rate of force development (RFD) and peak force during an isometric mid-thigh pull (IMTP), as well as its impact on muscle activation measured by electromyography (EMG) median frequency. Sixteen healthy, resistance-trained males completed two sessions: a control condition and a mentally fatigued state induced by a 30-minute modified Stroop task. IMTP performance and muscle activation were assessed before and after the mental fatigue task.
