Neurogenic tumors are benign tumors arising from nerve sheath or autonomic ganglion cells. Tumors arising from autonomic ganglion cells include neuroblastomas, ganglioneuromas, and ganglioneuroblastomas. Ganglioneuroma (GN) is a rare entity (1 per million). Composite ganglioneuromas with schwannomas are extremely rare in the head and neck. We report one such case.

Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETS) are common intracranial tumors, but extrasellar or ectopic PitNETS are very rare and supposed to originate from some pituitary remnants. They are mostly found in sphenoidal sinus. But particularly, ectopic clival PitNETS are highly aggressive and can cause bone invasion and can be misdiagnosed as other lesions of the skull base such as chordomas.

In recent years, assessing dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) activity has become crucial for cancer patients undergoing 5-fluorouracil (5FU)-based chemotherapy due to the life-threatening toxicity associated with reduced DPD function. The methods for evaluating DPD activity have evolved, with the analysis of DPYD polymorphisms in blood samples becoming the preferred approach. As the indications for liver transplantation are increasing-particularly due to a rise in cases of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and non-resectable colorectal liver metastasis-more cancer patients with a history of liver transplantation may experience disease relapse.

Leukemia-driving mutations are thought to arise in hematopoietic stem cells (HSC), yet the natural history of their spread is poorly understood. We genetically induced mutations within endogenous murine HSC and traced them in unmanipulated animals. In contrast to mutations associated with clonal hematopoiesis (such as Tet2 deletion), the leukemogenic KrasG12D mutation dramatically accelerated HSC contribution to all hematopoietic lineages.

Different tissues have a normal color spectrum that reflects their cellular composition and/or metabolic features. Similarly, distinct color variations may occur in tissues that have undergone pathologic or nonpathologic changes. Common examples of color changes in domestic animal tissues include red (associated with erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and myoglobin), brown (ferric hemoglobin or myoglobin, suppurative inflammation, lipid oxidation, postmortem autolysis, formalin fixation, neoplasms arising from cytochrome-rich tissues), yellow (hemoglobin and iron degradation, biliary pigment and by-products, carotenes, keratin, necrosis, suppurative or fibrinous inflammation), green (hemoglobin and iron degradation, biliary pigment and by-products, meconium, eosinophilic or suppurative inflammation, oomycete and algal infections), white (lack of blood, adipose tissue and its neoplasms, chylous effusion, necrosis, mineralization, fibrosis, lymphoid tissue, round cell neoplasms), translucent (transudate, cysts), black to gray (hemoglobin and iron degradation, melanin, carbon, tattoos), and blue to purple (poorly oxygenated blood, tattoos).

Background: The adaptive immune system consists of T and B lymphocytes, with some B lymphocytes further differentiating into plasma cells that secrete antibodies and make up the humoral immune system. Extramedullary plasmacytoma, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, and plasmablastic lymphoma are all plasma cell-rich lymphoid neoplasms that rarely present in the female genital tract. To date, few case reports of these malignancies arising within the uterine cervix exist.
