With the exception of a fly and a mite from the Triassic of Italy, all Mesozoic amber arthropods are from the Cretaceous. Late Jurassic Lebanese amber from Aintourine revealed a completely preserved adult coccid male (wing length 0.8 mm), gen. et sp. n., the earliest record of a plant sucking scale insect. Associated plant material included the cheirolepidiaceans and , plus s pollen, suggesting a forested temporary swamp habitat with ferns, tree ferns, water ferns, tall araucarian and ginkgoacean trees and shrubs. (Sub)tropic lateritic soil with vegetation debris underwent incomplete microbial decomposition in an anoxic water environment of peat swamp development. Strata-associated marine organisms support the Kimmeridgian age revealed by zircons. The discovery opens a new field of research in Jurassic amber fossils.

Background: Among minute-sized and wingless arthropods, astigmatid mites stand out for their diverse range of symbiotic associations (parasitic, neutral and mutualistic), with both invertebrate and vertebrate hosts. When inhabiting discontinuous and ephemeral environments, astigmatid mites adapt their life cycle to produce a phoretic heteromorphic nymph. When feeding resources are depleted, phoretic nymphs disperse to new habitats through phoresy, attaching to a larger animal which transports them to new locations.

The new finding provides new insight into the evolution of copulatory behaviour in Trogiomorpha. The fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) is warranted as a promising therapeutic target in bladder cancer as it is described in 75% of papillary bladder tumors. Considering this, the present study was conducted to use different approaches of computer-aided drug discovery (CADD) to identify the best binding compounds against the active pocket of FGFR3. Compared to control pyrimidine derivative, the study identified three promising lead structures; BDC_24037121, BDC_21200852, and BDC_21206757 with binding energy value of -14.
