Cardiovascular disease can affect cochlear blood flow and hearing, yet research on hearing loss in chronic stable angina patients is limited. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between hearing loss and chronic stable angina and establish association between the type and extent of hearing loss with the severity and duration of chronic stable angina. A cross-sectional study was conducted at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, U.

Recent studies indicate children who are deaf and hard of hearing who use cochlear implants or hearing aids know fewer spoken words than their peers with typical hearing, and often those vocabularies differ in composition. To date, however, the interaction of a child's auditory profile with the lexical characteristics of words he or she knows has been minimally explored. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate how audiological history, phonological memory, and overall vocabulary knowledge interact with growth in types of spoken words known by children who are deaf and hard of hearing compared to children with typical hearing.

Hearing is crucial for the development of language skills. Many infants and young children with undiagnosed hearing impairments, particularly those with mild to moderate severity and no apparent risk factors, miss out on much of the critical early phase of language and speech development. This cross-sectional, hospital-based observational study was conducted at GSVM Medical College and LLRH Hospital on children aged 6 months to 5 years over a 12-month period.

Objectives: Early identification of congenital deafness enables early intervention, but evidence on the influence of age at fitting of hearing aids (HAs) or cochlear implants (CIs) on outcomes in school-aged children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) is limited. This study (1) described developmental outcomes and health-related quality of life in DHH children; and (2) examined the relationships among demographic factors, including age at fitting of HAs or CIs, and outcomes.
Design: This prospective cohort study included participants in a population-based study who were followed up at 9 years of age.
