The use of hybrid vigor or heterosis in Coffea arabica L. cultivation has gradually been commercially explored worldwide since research has evolved in understanding this phenomenon and the vegetative propagation techniques or male-sterility making its use viable. Additionally, coffee producers adopting this technology have continuously increased.

As a primary approach to address feature selection problems, evolutionary algorithms have been widely proposed to deal with the problem. Most of these methods are designed to find a single feature subset. However, the optimal feature subset within a dataset is often not unique, indicating that feature selection exhibits multimodal characteristics.

Unlabelled: Heterosis has been widely applied in crops production. Nonetheless, how to determine the favorable recombination of non-alleles remains elusive. Due to the uncertainty of genetic recombination, hybrids with strong heterosis tend to be selected empirically, by developing and testing a tremendous number of combinations.

A four-years crossbreeding experiment was performed involving two synthetic rabbit lines of APRI (A) and Moshtohor (M) where bucks of the APRI line were mated with does of the Moshtohor line to produce F crossbred (½A½M), followed by inter-se mating to obtain F crossbred (½A½M). A total of 669 litters produced from 184 bucks and 394 does were used in analyzing litter size at birth (LSB) and weaning (LSW), litter weight at birth (LWB) and weaning (LWW) and pre-weaning mortality (PM). Heritability estimates for the targeted traits were low to moderate, ranging from 0.
