Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) pose a substantial caregiving burden in the United States, yet efforts to improve caregiver well-being have seen mixed results. We ask whether an app-based intervention ( = 143) to prioritize can substantially improve the caregiving experience, and whether these benefits are moderated by (1) caregiver demographics and (2) conditions of the caregiving situation (such as baseline impairment). Constructing curvilinear growth models to assess changes over a 20-week period, we find significant improvements in the positive aspects of caregiving (PAC). Greater benefits accrue to women, lower-income households, caregivers with a college degree, and caregivers who provide ≥80% of care to their family member. No differences in PAC growth are detected for care recipient memory and behavior problems, caregiver age, or caregiver race. We conclude that efforts to improve caregiver well-being may be especially effective for disadvantaged groups, with the notable exception of educational attainment.

Context: In 2023, we employed Dexcom G6 for real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rt-CGM); it showed high usefulness but unsatisfactory accuracy in type 1 diabetes summer camp (camp) participants.

Objective: To assess the usefulness, recommendation and accuracy of a new rt-CGM system in camp, 2024.

Methods: Sensor glucose (SG) concentrations were measured by Dexcom G7 (G7) from 6 days prior to camp.

Morgan McDonald is the National Director for Population Health and Health Equity Leadership at the Milbank Memorial Fund, New York, NY.

Directing depolarization efforts toward those with authority over public health funding and population health policies has great potential to improve health outcomes. Two nonpartisan legislative and executive branch state leadership programs demonstrated personal growth and mutual respect among participants necessary for depolarization that was evidenced by cross-state and cross-party policy implementation. Intentional cohort selection of politically and demographically diverse participants, ground rules based on fundamental values, and curriculum emphasizing collective problem-solving built trust and curiosity despite differing viewpoints.

The performance of the electrocatalytic CO reduction reaction (CORR) is highly dependent on the microenvironment around the cathode. Despite efforts to optimize the microenvironment by modifying nanostructured catalysts or microporous gas diffusion electrodes, their inherent disorder presents a significant challenge to understanding how interfacial structure arrangement within the electrode governs the microenvironment for CORR. This knowledge gap limits fundamental understanding of CORR while also hindering efforts to enhance CORR selectivity and activity.
