Papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most common thyroid malignancy, with a higher incidence in women. Vitamin D deficiency has been proposed as a potential risk factor for various cancers, including thyroid cancer. This study investigates the association between vitamin D deficiency and papillary thyroid carcinoma. A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted on 209 patients diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma from January 2016 to December 2020. Clinical data, including vitamin D levels, were collected and analyzed using SPSS software. ANOVA was employed to determine the significance of the relationship between vitamin D status, lymph node positivity, and thyroid nodule size. Vitamin D deficiency was prevalent in 58.4% of patients, with 25.4% being insufficient and 16.3% normal. No significant relationship was found between vitamin D levels and the number of positive lymph nodes ( = 0.457) or thyroid nodule size ( = 0.775). Vitamin D levels may not be a reliable prognostic indicator for papillary thyroid carcinoma. Further research with larger sample sizes is necessary to explore this association.

Background: Current studies have reported a high association between the Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) and papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). However, studies on the characteristics of central lymph node metastasis (CLNM) in PTC patients with HT are scarce. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the risk factors of CLNM in PTC and HT patients.

Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma coexisting with rheumatoid arthritis is frequently observed in clinical patients, yet its pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated. This investigation sought to further explore the molecular underpinnings of these two diseases.

Methods: Gene expression profiles for thyroid papillary carcinoma and rheumatoid arthritis patients were obtained from the Comprehensive Gene Expression Database (GEO).

Objective: This study investigates the role of membrane-associated protein 17 (MAP17) and the Akt signaling pathway in the progression of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).

Materials And Methods: We conducted a series of in vitro experiments using PTC cell lines (HTori-3 and TPC-1). Cells were divided into three groups: control, MAP17 inhibitor negative control (NC), and MAP17 inhibitor treatment.
