68Ga-pentixafor PET/CT is a reliable, noninvasive functional imaging technique that demonstrates high classification accuracy for subtypes of primary hyperaldosteronism (PA) and provides significant guidance for clinical treatment decisions. We report a case of the precise resection of an aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) while maximizing the preservation of adrenal glands under the guidance of 68Ga-pentixafor PET/CT imaging.

Foraminal and extraforaminal lumbar disc herniations are common sources of pain and disability. Classic surgical treatments, such as open approach through Witsel technique, often involve resection of the superior articular process to decompress the foraminal space. Unilateral biportal endoscopy (UBE) has emerged as a minimally invasive alternative, providing enhanced visualization and precision while minimizing soft tissue damage.

Objective: Common treatments for obstructive hydrocephalus caused by malignant midline intracranial tumors during the perioperative period include ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS) placement, endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV), and direct tumor resection. The purpose of this study is to determine whether it is necessary to treat hydrocephalus before tumor resection and to clarify which treatment is most effective.

Methods: Data from 372 pediatric patients (under 18 years) with obstructive hydrocephalus due to malignant midline intracranial tumors, referred to the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital between January 2018 and September 2019, were collected.

Background: Implementing the thermoplastic mask as a treatment option in Gamma Knife radiosurgery (GKRS) has madethe discussion of the relative benefits of frame- or mask-based fixation for treatment a frequent occurence. Based on a case review, the authors discuss factors that need to be understood and considered by the treating team.

Observations: The authors describe the case of an 81-year-old patient with pleomorphic dermal sarcoma that extended to and infiltrated the dura mater, who underwent extensive resection requiring a skin flap.
