Background: This paper studies the role of mobile applications in promoting physical activity and user loyalty to them. In doing so, our study offers fresh insights into the role of mobile applications in promoting physical activity and healthier lifestyles, filling gaps in the existing body of research.
Methods: A non-probability purposive sample of adults who engage in physical exercise and use monitoring apps was selected, and semi-structured interviews were used to collect information.
Results: Our findings are suggestive that (i) physical exercise is more strongly associated with the continuous use of applications than with specific loyalty strategies; (ii) widespread use of apps that record and display historical results can boost regular physical activity, as users are motivated to surpass their previous outcomes. These results support the principle that 'more is better' in practice and intensity, suggesting that mobile technologies should be integrated into national health plans.
Conclusions: Mobile technologies should be encouraged by public policies, as these tools offer an accessible alternative for promoting public health. Policies could subsidize or facilitate the development of applications that integrate self-monitoring and personalized health plans aligned with public health guidelines. They could also include educational campaigns informing the population about these technologies' benefits and explaining how to use them to improve physical and mental health.

To surmount the shortcomings of powder-based catalysts and small electrode sizes, the development of meter-scale integrated electrode materials is essential for practical electrocatalytic applications, which requires fine control over the effective surface grafting of catalytic active sites on large-size electrodes as well as addressing the challenge of balancing cost-effective and large-scale manufacturing with highly active and stable operation. Herein, we report a low-cost, facile, and scalable method for directly constructing meter-scale single-molecule-integrated catalytic electrodes using commercially available, flexible, and size-tailored conductive carbon textiles (e.g.

Importance: Excess body fat plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). HU6 is a novel, controlled metabolic accelerator that enhances mitochondrial uncoupling resulting in increased metabolism and fat-specific weight loss.
Objective: To assess efficacy and safety of HU6 in reducing body weight, improving peak volume of oxygen consumption (VO2) and body composition among patients with obesity-related HFpEF.

Purpose Of The Review: This review summarises high-level evidence for fan therapy and adds a commentary on the relatively-neglected question of how to optimise benefits based on qualitative evidence, clinical experience and broader research and theory.
Recent Findings: Recent high-level evidence suggests the fan reduces time to recovery from episodic breathlessness rather than reduces daily levels over a longer period. Lower grade evidence suggests the fan can also help people increase their physical activity.
Importance: Exercise intervention studies have shown benefits for patients with lung cancer undergoing surgery, yet most interventions to date have been resource intensive and have followed a one-size-fits-all approach.
Objective: To determine whether a personalized, clinic-aligned perioperative exercise program with remote monitoring and instructions can improve physical function and fatigue among patients undergoing surgery for lung cancer.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The Precision-Exercise-Prescription (PEP) randomized clinical trial is a single-center phase 3 trial.

Importance: Sexual dysfunction is a common adverse effect of prostate cancer treatment, and current management strategies do not adequately address physical and psychological causes. Exercise is a potential therapy in the management of sexual dysfunction.
Objective: To investigate the effects of supervised, clinic-based, resistance and aerobic exercise with and without a brief psychosexual education and self-management intervention (PESM) on sexual function in men with prostate cancer compared with usual care.
