Of 40 women with urinary bladder suspension defects verified by CCU were investigated with anal profilometry, 25 had anterior suspension defects had 15 posterior suspension defects. The profiles were superimposed to demonstrate morphological changes. The slopes of the profiles were correlated to slopes of profiles from a normal material. There was significant difference between normal and pathological slopes. The morphological changes of the profiles in relation to the anatomy of the pelvic floor is discussed.

We examine the collective motion in computational models of a two-dimensional dusty plasma crystal and a charged colloidal suspension as they approach their respective melting transitions. To unambiguously identify rearrangement events in the crystal, we map the trajectory of configurations from an equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation to the corresponding sequence of configurations of local potential energy minima ("inherent structures"). This inherent structure (IS) trajectory eliminates the ambiguity that arises from localized vibrational motion.

Bead-foaming technology effectively addresses production cycles, polymerization control, and cellular structure defects in conventional bulk foaming, especially in high-performance PMI foams. In this work, highly expandable PMI beads were synthesized based on the aqueous suspension polymerization of methacrylic acid-methacrylonitrile-tert-butyl methacrylate (MAA-MAN-tBMA) copolymers. The suspension polymerization was stabilized by reducing the solubility of MAA by the salting-out effect and replacing formamide (a common PMI foaming agent) with tBMA.
