To significantly improve the tribological performance of epoxy resin (EP), a novel h-BN/MoS composite was successfully synthesized using spherical MoS particles with lamellar self-assembly generated through the calcination method, followed by utilizing the "bridging effect" of a silane coupling agent to achieve a uniform and vertically oriented decoration of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanosheets on the MoS surface. The chemical composition and microstructure of the h-BN/MoS composite were systematically investigated. Furthermore, the enhancement effect of composites with various contents on the frictional properties of epoxy coatings was studied, and the mechanism was elucidated.

Developing active, stable, and cost-effective acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalyst is a critical challenge in realizing large-scale hydrogen (H) production via electrochemical water splitting. Utilizing highly active and relatively inexpensive Ru is generally challenged by its long-term durability issue. Here, we explore the potential of stabilizing active Ru sites in Ru(Ir,Fe,Co,Ni) multicomponent alloy by investigating its phase formation behavior, OER performance, and OER-induced surface reconstruction.

Background: Atezolizumab plus bevacizumab is recommended as a first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). A subgroup analysis of the IMbrave150 trial showed shorter overall survival (OS) in uHCC patients with stable disease (SD) than patients with complete response (CR) or partial response (PR) after atezolizumab plus bevacizumab. Improving OS in patients with SD is an unmet medical need.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells induce responses in patients with relapsed/refractory leukemia; however, long-term efficacy is frequently limited by relapse. The inability to target antigen-low cells is an intrinsic vulnerability of second-generation CAR T cells and underlies most relapses following CD22BBz CAR T cell therapy. Here, we interrogate CD22BBz CAR signaling in response to low antigen and find inefficient phosphorylation of the linker for activation of T cells (LAT) limiting downstream signaling.

On the basis of the evidence that dehydroeffusol prevents human amyloid-β-induced memory deficit and neurodegeneration in mice, here we tested the effect of a Juncus effusus extract powder enriched with dehydroeffusol on the cognitive and dexterous performance of elderly people. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study was conducted in 41 participants (averaged age: 69 years) randomly divided into test and placebo groups who received a test tablet and a placebo tablet, respectively, once a day for 24 weeks. Changes in cognitive function were assessed using the Five-Cog test 24 weeks after the start of intake.
